Hudud OH Hudud....

MCA-BN has now resurrected the specter of Hudud and now using it to spark fear among the non-Muslims in this country. It is really on an unprecedented scale as MCA is using all media under their control to whack DAP and Pakatan. Today's advert in the Star:

Such amount of political fear and religious slant in their campaign. It is yet to see if this has spooked the Chinese especially the older folks. But i wonder if Malays will get insulted if they see this advert. This might end up worse for MCA as Malay voters outnumber Chinese easily 1 to 3. So hopefully it backfires and hurt MCA and UMNO more.

Fight is on for ALL PARLIAMENT AND STATE SEATS!

I do not think I remember when is the last time all the seats in parliament and state are contested keenly in a Malaysian General Election. This is good as finally democracy is alive and people are itching to vote and decide the future of Malaysia.

Latest on the Star:

However, multiple seats are having multiple candidates and even some in which independents from various parties standing against their own parties. Many of these are due to dissatisfaction of not being selected to stand for their respective parties.

Well, waiting for the complete listing of candidates according to seats then I can publish here.

Gelang Patah: The Political Soothsayer of The Star Strikes!

To add to the growing number of politicians, analysts and even celebrities of some sort in the Gelang Patah 'Mother of all battles', comes in the famous (or rather infamous) soothsayer of The Star on politics: Ms. Joceline Tan! Not to mention her all her miss-the-mark predictions of 308 and her going round the bush and flip flopping analysis of the political arena in Malaysia, now she wants to predict the defeat of LKS in Gelang Patah!

It is known that LKS took a great risk, great enough that he has a decent chance of losing the seat if they placed the correct candidate from BN to fight him. But to run down LKS like how she did it isn't gonna go well with a lot of people. She spoke of surveys showing support swinging against LKS after the possible clash between LKS and MB Ghani. Then the question is: which survey and what methodology that they use? How many were interviewed? One more issue is that any tom dick and harry out of nowhere questioned on the street will usually give either a non-committal answer or an affirmative one.

Whether LKS win or lose its part and parcel of politics. He knows it but he has the guts to come down and fight. However, less is to be said of the president of the 3rd largest chinese party in the world who decides to run away and leave it to the MB of Johor. I call that plain cowardice! Even if LKS lose he loses with dignity and will forever have our respect for one last hurray into the horizon.

Anyways here's her latest article on the Gelang Patah contest:

Just hope that the voters of Gelang Patah prove her wrong and send her analysis to the dumps.
